2004 - Lockheed Martin - USAF - I-SPAN

"LMCO Partners with TSRI to Win Air Force I-SPAN Contract"

Kirkland, WA. (September 1, 2004) – Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMCO), teamed with The Software Revolution, Inc. (TSRI) and others, was awarded a $213 million research and development contract for modernization of the Integrated Strategic Planning & Analysis Network (I-SPAN).

I-SPAN will be an evolutionary acquisition using a spiral development process to modernize the nation's strategic warfare planning system that will extend through January 2014. TSRI's primary role in this project will be to use its JANUS Studio®    to automatically transform the various system application languages, such as Fortran and Ada, into modern, platform independent C++ and Java.

Greg Tadlock, TSRI's Vice President, Sales & Marketing said, "LMCO has brought together a particularly strong team of contractors to ensure the successful modernization of our nation's strategic planning system. TSRI was pleased to have been included in the team and to have had the opportunity to demonstrate its technology to the customer during the proposal review process. It's gratifying to know that JANUS Studio®    provided LMCO with a unique technical and cost discriminator that helped the team to win."
